Before this blog continues, I know many of you are wondering how we met, where and how did this relationship blossom into what is it today? Or you are really wanting to skip over this part, and may have stopped reading it all together. Hmm, we'll go with the first idea.
Well, Tony and I actually met on New Year's Eve at a party at Californio's. Okay, to be honest, I don't want to bore you with details, I mean this is a wedding blog, not a dating blog! So I tell you what, I already wrote out how we met and the proposal on our wedding web site - yes, I am that bride - so you can check it out here: www.theknot.com/ourwedding/caitlinfaddis&tonyginestra
So although New Year's is generally hyped up, I had a good time and think that it was meant to be! So here is a picture from that infamous night, although just me and my girls, since we didn't have pictures together ; )

The Beginning
Well, I will admit that there really is no reason for this blog. I mean, how many tools and web sites are out there about weddings? Well, a lot, so really this is just me going through my experience of planning a wedding, having showers, and all the fun details that going along with "the biggest day of my life."
So a little background is probably needed. Here it goes: I am getting married this October to the love of my life, Tony. He and I have been together for two years and he proposed last December, 18th to be exact! He's fabulous and everything I could ever want in my husband and partner for life. And he spoils me rotten, just a little advantage for me, I must say. Plus we have our boxer, Tyson. He's our baby, and is another one who is spoiled rotten - and I mean rotten (mostly by his dad). Let me explain, Ty-Man has a habit of tearing up his toys, down to the nitty gritty where most of the toy is not even noticeable to the naked eye- the dog has an elephant that now looks like a rag you clean your car with. But this is our life and we have fun, but I digress, this blog is not about our dog, *no guarantee I won't be talking about him again* it's abut the wedding.
It's now the end of February and as my sister would put it, I had all my planning done 6 minutes after the bling ring was put on my finger. (I mean, I did do some planning in my past jobs) But it's true, we have almost everything done and now its on to the fun stuff, but I will go on about the details in other posts - I think it could be fun to go back and remember all of the "stress" that we went through to get to this point.
But first I must explain the title of this little project. You read it right....12 times a bridesmaid. Yes ladies and gentlemen, I have 12 times, bought a dress and shoes - that I can totally shorten and wear again - 12 times had my hair done (okay 11, my mom did my hair one time); 12 times I have walked down an aisle, smiling; 12 times I have danced with the wedding party; and 12 times I have been thrilled to watch my friends and family marry the man they love.
So who are all of these people that I have stood by on their big day? Well, let me name them - heck, I'll even do it in order!
1. My cousin Cam - I was 13 and this time my mom did my hair
2. My sister Courtney *only time I was the maid of honor and was fabulous
3. My sister-in-law Alison
4. Katie, first one of our high school friends to get married
5. Carrie
6. Alison
7. Sara W.
8. Lauren
9. Molly
10. Sara J.
11. Jessica
12. Kristen
And those don't even count for all of the weddings that Tony was in - he laughed, but he has been a groomsmen and usher almost as many times!
So you can see how fast I was able to plan my wedding was because of all of the weddings I have experienced in my bridesmaid life. I have loved being a part of every wedding and am exciting to have my friends watch me get in the big white dress!
So now the planning has been in full force and I hope you enjoy reading this. Because if you don't, well, you just won't. Wish me luck, its tulle, flowers, cake and favors from this point on! Oh, and at some point I will have to do my job as well.
I need a vacation already.
